About Checkpoint Guides

Checkpoint Guides is a small, independent site that publishes written guides for games we are actively playing. There is no video, no autoplay, no ten-paragraph preamble before the answer. You searched for a specific thing; the answer is at the top of the page.

How guides are made

• Played, not summarised. Every number on the site — drop rates, blessing levels, gold-per-season figures — comes from a save file or a build we ran ourselves.
• One question per page. A page about boss order does not also explain builds. If you need two answers, you get two pages.
• Dated and revisited. Each article shows the patch it was checked against. When a patch changes behaviour, we either update the page or remove it rather than leaving it to rot.

Who writes here

Checkpoint Guides is written and maintained by a small group of players — currently three people, covering action RPGs, farming and building games, and sandbox survival. We do not use AI to generate article text, and we do not publish pages for games we have not finished.

How the site is funded

The site is supported by display advertising and, occasionally, affiliate links to game storefronts. Advertising never influences which games we cover or what a guide concludes. If a page contains an affiliate link, it is disclosed at the top of that page.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it — and note the correction on the page. Games change, and guides that pretend otherwise are worse than no guide at all. Use the contact page.
